      Hi All

I want to use the statement "Run Job %script_name%", where %script_name% is a variable I have set in the previous step (a value read from a cell in an Excel file).

However, I cannot get this to work - have tried backlash (single and double) before %script_name, but nothing seems to work. The file exists, the variable has the correct file name, but the Run Job statement is not translating the variable name.

The log shows error Internal Exception: DBMGJIBR01

      Any advice?

      Regards

      Jems

Not a 100 percent sure but is this what you need

      path\to\file\/%script_name%.exe

Re: Using a Variable in the Run Job statement

      Thanks Peter

I was trying to run an uncompiled job.

I have now compiled the .exe and it looks like I will need to use the run Application action.

Will give it a try later.

      Thanks

As far as I know, you cannot add a variable in the "Run Job"'s input field. You can do it if you use the "Run Application" action for the compiled jobs though.
